About Us

The Rogue Welsh Cake Company was born in 2020. Thanks to the support and enthusiasm of our loyal fanbase, that begins locally at our markets and stretches as far as Australia (potentially the first time in history a welsh cake has flown that far!) We have been able to experiment with many different recipes and grow our family business from a small stall at a pop up farmers market, to a premises in Europe's biggest regeneration market, in Newport’s City centre. We now deliver our freshly baked Welsh cakes across the UK, bringing a taste of Wales to your doorstep.

  • THE most amazing Welsh cakes!! What I love about this place is not only their wonderful and wacky array of flavours but that you can watch (and smell) them being baked right in front of you! I’d recommend anyone stop by and try some. I’m still dreaming of the Victoria sponge flavour they did in July

  • Well well well, what can I say about Rogue Welsh Cakes? I can say they are the best welsh cakes in the world & if you don’t agree you’re clinically insane. Gorgeous family company, everyone is so lovely & always glad to see you. If I had to give one criticism, it would be that the head huncho ‘Joe’ doesn’t wear his welsh ladies costume enough, bring it back bro I wanna see some flesh. Apart from that, 10’s across the board!

  • Best Welsh cakes ever 😍 if you are looking for classic or Welsh cakes with a twist then rogue Welsh cakes is the place to be. My personal favourite is the cheese and leek and as you can see the dog is obsessed too. Along with the best tasting Welsh cakes you have an amazing owner who Is always so enthusiastic. Can’t recommend enough.

  • I visited this place this past August .The guy helped me was a very nice guy & the Welshcakes were so ~delicious, much better than Fabulous Welshcakes !! Peanutbutter one & orange / chocolate ? were my picks as recommended. I highly recommend this place !!

  • We found these guys by chance, and now every time we’re in Newport, we have to get Welsh cakes. Perfect to take home and snack on, or even better if you get the warm stack with ice cream there and then! Run and owner by lovely, genuine people, who make amazing Welsh cakes in a variety of flavours. 1000% recommended checking them out if you’re passing by…. Or even making a visit just for them (as we have also done)

  • Not to exaggerate but I tried 3 of their plain (yes plain) Welsh cakes and the next day I batch ordered 36. If you like Welsh cakes or just want to give them a try I promise no matter how picky you are these are the best you'll try! Great customer service and story behind the business, a credit to the tradition of Welsh cakes.
